What we do

We have been providing tailored, small business advice in Devon for over 25 years.
During that time we've helped literally thousands of people start and grow their own business by providing free, high quality support and advice.
As an enterprise agency, we don't make a profit and instead of charging you we are funded by local councils, central government schemes and European projects.
That means you get individual, bespoke support from highly experienced advisers, at no cost to you (depending on eligibility criteria).

Coming Soon: Helping farmers navigate the Agricultural Transition

Starting this autumn will be be offering free, tailored one to one advice, webinars and business skills development workshops to help farmers and land managers navigate the changes brought about by the Agricultural Transition.
The move away from Basic Payments over the next 7 years marks the biggest change to agricultural funding in more than a generation and is likely to be a concern for many farmers. Instead, the new Environmental Land Management (ELM) scheme which replaces it, will encourage farmers to focus on sustainable farming practices, encourage biodiversity and create new habitats for wildlife.
There will be free workshops, held in local venues throughout Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Dorset and the Isles of Scilly as well as individual, one-to-one support with an experienced agricultural advisor. Topics of discussion will include business diversification, productivity, new grants schemes and succession planning.
The support is available to any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments located in Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Dorset and the Isles of Scilly.
Small business funding
How to get access to funding is one of the questions we most commonly get asked. Other than going to your bank there are a other places to seek grant or loan funding depending on your circumstances and the type of investment you need.
We always keep updated with the latest funding that's available in the local area and can let you know what funding you may be able to access. With years of experience we also know what funding providers are looking for in a successful application and can help guide you through the process.
