Business Innovation: From Ideas to Action
This workshop is part of a funded support programme called Innovation in Healthy Ageing which runs across the Heart of the South West area. The programme has been designed to help small businesses and social enterprises with projects to introduce new and innovative products, services and technology designed to help people live in their homes for longer, tackle loneliness, and increase independence and wellbeing.
Design thinking is the business innovation tool of this century. Originally established for the design community by Stanford University in the 1990s, it has since been adapted for use by almost every business sector the world over.
During this workshop, inspirational business trainer, Dr Sawsan Khuri will take a collaborative approach to guide you through the design thinking process which will focus on understanding the challenges facing your end users and how to solve their problems.
This is followed by an interactive idea generation session to help you generate innovative solutions and go away with some concrete ideas to take away and apply to improve the business.
- Learn what design thinking is
- How to apply the design thinking process to your business
- Take away 2 or 3 ideas to better deliver for your end users
