Managing Your Morale Webinar

Wellbeing for Small Business: Managing Your Morale

As part of East Devon District Council’s ‘Adapt & Thrive’ programme, join us for this FREE workshop , with Positive Psychology Coach, Ruth Sheard.

Staying positive and maintaining good morale can be challenging as a small business owner, and this has become even more important for many during the pandemic. If you are working alone then taking charge of your own morale is vital to remaining healthy and keeping productive.

Ruth will be sharing her tips for how to cope with stress, avoid the negativity bias and develop resilience as a small business owner. It will be an interactive session, with group discussion to develop strategies to help manage your own morale, break unhelpful patterns and keep a positive mindset while dealing with challenges.

Here are some of the areas you will cover:

  • What is morale?
  • Morale scaling and group discussion
  • Examples of how challenge can either undermine or develop morale.
  • Exploring negativity bias: Why we focus on problems/threats
  • The science of Positive Psychology: looking at what works rather than what doesn’t
  • Developing your positive focus
  • Top strategy to develop mental resilience
  • How to think about goals.

It can be difficult to manage your own morale but after this workshop you should have the tools to look after your own mental wellbeing and be able to develop strategies that work for you. Gaining a new perspective will allow you to work through challenges, reflect on your own achievements and work towards your goals with a renewed energy and a positive mindset.

This session will be run online using Zoom. Joining details will be sent via email.
