Selling on Amazon and other Online Market Places

In this interactive workshop we will explore the opportunities and risks of selling online across the most popular marketplaces

It is estimated that Online Marketplaces like Ebay, Etsy and Amazon account for more than 60% of online sales. That presents an incredible opportunity for businesses but with hundreds of thousands of other sellers to compete with, how can you succeed?

In this interactive workshop Richard will explore the opportunities and risks of selling online across the most popular marketplaces with you. You will examine the pro’s and con’s of selling on Ebay, Amazon and Etsy and the strategies and tactics you need to make them work for you.

This Workshop will cover:

  • The main online marketplaces in the UK and how they differ
  • How to create great listings that get your product seen and sold
  • How to build your profile with reviews and feedback
  • Managing multiple marketplaces and selling on your own website
  • Advertising on Ebay and Amazon (PPC)
  • Amazon and it’s multiple seller programmes

This is a relaxed and interactive session and there will be plenty of time to ask questions throughout. Participants will also be able to share their own marketplace listings for discussion and feedback.

Meet the Speaker: Richard Parker

After a career in the public sector as a manager Rich was seeking freedom from the 9-5.  So in 2008 he created an online photo-gifts business which later developed into a gifts and game business selling principally on Amazon and Ebay.  Realising the power of Amazon to expand his business he expanded into Europe and the USA and sold in a wide variety of categories.  He sold that business in 2021 and now works as an Amazon Consultant, helping businesses develop new markets for their products. He is also a partner in Fetch 50, a new Devon based surfing brand.
