SUMMARY:Farm Grants Update & Navigating the Agricultural Transition
DESCRIPTION:Helping farmers\, their families and their businesses to navigate the Agricultural Transition.\n\n\nBetween 2021 and 2027\, the government will reduce and then stop Direct Payments. Instead\, farmers will be supported to improve the environment\, improve animal health and welfare\, and reduce carbon emissions.. This is the biggest change in farm support for generations and all farmers need to think how they will adapt. \nThe Future Farming Resilience Fund has been funded by Defra to allow us to support farmers and land managers with this transition. The support is free and available from October 2022 to any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nThis FREE workshop will cover: \n\nTimelines and reductions in the Basic Payment Scheme\nOutline of the Environmental Land Management Schemes\nThe introduction of the Sustainable Farming Incentive Scheme (SFI) 2021/2022\nHow the SFI links with the Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMs)2024\nOptions to improve productivity and increase profits as the BPS payments reduce\nBusiness diversification strategies\n\nWe will also take a look at a number of new capital grant schemes that are proposed\, linked to the SFI standards and also stand alone productivity grants under the Farming Investment Fund. \nTimings & Refreshments: \nWe will be serving a free buffet and refreshments prior to the start of the workshop with timings as follows: \n\n7 pm – Arrival\, buffet and refreshments\n7.30 pm – Workshop starts\n9.30 pm – Q&As\n\nEligibility: \nThis workshop is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Somerset\, Dorset\, Cornwall\, or the Isles of Scilly currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nTo be eligible to participate in the Future Farming Resilience project and receive subsequent one-to-one support or attend further workshops\, you will be required to complete a Monitoring Information form. Forms will be provided by your advisor\, at a workshop\, or emailed to you after an online workshop. Please ensure forms are completed swiftly. Please be aware that BIP may limit further access to specialist workshops or one-to-one advice if the form is not completed. \nIf you have any questions please call us on 01837 659 059 or email team@businessinfopoint.co.uk.
