DESCRIPTION:This workshop will provide more information about the grant and talk through the application process.\n\n\nThe Slurry Infrastructure Grant from DEFRA is available to help replace\, build or expand existing slurry stores to provide 6 months’ storage. \nYou can use this grant for slurry stores including tanks\, lagoons and concrete stores fitted with impermeable covers and large permanent bags. The grant will also fund items necessary for the basic functioning of new or expanded slurry stores\, such as reception pits\, slurry pumps and agitators. \nThe grant helps farmers invest in future-proofed slurry infrastructure. This will help to: \n\nmake better use of organic nutrients\nimprove water quality\nimprove air quality\nreduce greenhouse gases\n\nWe will provide more information about the grant\, talk through the application process\, and explain why you should apply even if your farm is not in a priority area. DESCRIPTION:Helping farmers\, their families and their businesses to navigate the Agricultural Transition.\n\n\nBetween 2021 and 2027\, the government will reduce and then stop Direct Payments. Instead\, farmers will be supported to improve the environment\, improve animal health and welfare\, and reduce carbon emissions.. This is the biggest change in farm support for generations and all farmers need to think how they will adapt. \nThe Future Farming Resilience Fund has been funded by Defra to allow us to support farmers and land managers with this transition.
