SUMMARY:Exploring SFI Options for Your Farm in 2023
DESCRIPTION:With reduction of income from the Basic Payment Scheme over the next few years\, all farmers are considering how develop their businesses.\n\n\nAs part of the Agricultural Transition\, Defra introduced the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) in 2022. SFI pays farmers to adopt and maintain sustainable farming practices that can protect and improve the environment. Defra recently updated their SFI offer: with 23 options available to farmers from August 2023\, SFI could be an important part of developing your farm business. \nIn this free workshop\, we will look at the options available under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI)\, including \n\ninterpreting the requirements of each standard\ncalculating the potential income that could be generated through SFI on your farm\nexamining how SFI can with other schemes on your farm\ndiscussing how to prepare for and how to apply for SFI\, including common problems and how to resolve them.\n\nEligibility: \nThis workshop is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Somerset\, Dorset or Cornwall currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nIf you have any questions please call us on 01837 659 059 or email team@businessinfopoint.co.uk.
