Benjamin has unwavering passion for transforming lives through knowledge\, collaboration and partnership to encourage sustainability and conservation. \nCarbon Reduction Equipment Suppliers & Networking \nThere will be a range of businesses showcasing carbon reduction equipment who will be on hand to talk about their renewable solutions such as solar\, EV charging and heat pumps. \nYou can discuss your plans\, explore new technology and learn about the range of products and services that are available to you when considering options for investment and implementation of your net zero plans. \nCarbon Foot Printing Made Easy Workshop \nThis practical workshop will provide a no-nonsense and practical guide to businesses to enable them to avoid ‘green washing’ and build their own understanding of steps they can take to take them on their journey towards Net Zero. \nYou’ll be given guidance on how to reduce your carbon footprint as well as how to access grants through Carbon Action Fund to help you put your plans into action. \nThe Venue \nThis roadshow has been kindly hosted at Heron Farm\, an award-winning cafe\, vineyards\, orchards\, kitchen garden\, located just outside Honiton with EV charging points. \nAbout the East Devon Carbon Action Programme (EDCAP) \nEDCAP has been designed to provide free support for businesses and community organisations of all sizes across East Devon to measure and reduce their carbon impact\, bring in more environmentally friendly practices and move towards becoming net zero. \nThe East Devon Carbon Action Programme is funded by East Devon District Council. \n  \nEligibility \nThis event has been funded by East Devon District Council\, and for that reason only East Devon based businesses are eligible to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Speaker details for our September webinar will be available soon.\n\n\nOverview\nThe Rural Support and Wellbeing project\, run by the Heart of the South West Trading Standards service\, aims to raise awareness of the rural support services available to the farming community\, through specialist workshops and representation at rural events\, such as livestock markets and agricultural shows. \nThis project is being delivered in Cornwall\, Devon\, Dorset\, and Somerset as part of the Future Farming Resilience programme\, funded by DEFRA to support farmers and land managers. The support is free and available to any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nThe Wellbeing Webinar series usually runs on the first Thursday of every month until December 2024. \nThe theme and speakers for September’s webinar is yet to be confirmed\, but watch this space! \nPrevious webinars have covered a range of themes\, such as: \n\nFarm Safety\nFire Safety & Holistic Wellbeing\nCost of Living\nRural Community Care\nFarm Resilience\n\n\n\nGuest speakers at our previous webinars have included: \n\nFarm Safety Foundation / Yellow Wellies\nDevon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service\nCornwall Fire & Rescue Service\nStep One Charity\nSouth Somerset CC Village Agents\nDevon & Cornwall Police: Rural Crime\nRural Mental Health Matters\n\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop details:\nThis will be an online session\, delivered via Zoom. DESCRIPTION:Update on grants and funding schemes available to farming businesses\n\n\nThis free workshop provides up-to-date information to farmers aiming to build farm business resilience and profitability. We review how new and existing funding schemes\, such as the Sustainable Farming Incentive and Countryside Stewardship\, have changed\, and how those schemes could apply to your farm and build your business. We also outline other schemes and grants that may apply to your farm. \nJoin us to discuss: \n\nHow funding is changing and what farmers can do to mitigate these changes​\nWhat DEFRA’s Environmental Land Management Schemes\, including SFI\, offer\nWhat other grant schemes are available\nSuccession: how to start planning for the next generation\nWhere to go next: getting ongoing support and information ​\n\n  \nThe Future Farming Resilience Fund is funded by Defra to support farmers and land managers through the biggest changes in farm support for generations\, as BPS ends and new environmental schemes are launched. The support is free and available until December 2024 to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Dorset\, Somerset or Cornwall with more than 5ha of land and an SBI. \n  \nTimings & Refreshments: \nWe will be serving hot drinks and biscuits prior to the start of the workshop. \n\n7.00pm – Arrival and refreshments\n7.30pm – Presentation starts\n9.30pm – Presentation ends\n10.00pm – Workshop ends\n\n  \nEligibility: \nThis workshop is part of the Future Farming Resilience programme & is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Somerset\, Dorset\, or Cornwall currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nTo be eligible to participate in the Future Farming Resilience project and receive subsequent 1:1 support or attend further workshops\, you will be required to complete a Monitoring Information form.
