The workshop will teach you the basics of using Excel to support your farm business with creating spreadsheets\, managing information\, and keeping records. We will explore how Excel can be used to support your Farm activities in a range of areas\, including examples such as the NFU’s Agricultural Compliance Tool. \nYou will learn how to: \n\nCreate and save a new spreadsheets\nUnderstand the Excel terms and layout of spreadsheets\nCreate formulas and use basic calculations in Excel\nLearn Excel shortcuts\nRecord data in existing Excel Agricultural Tools\n\nIn addition\, Cosmic can offer further\, free one-to-one support\, exploring each of these areas in much more detail\, depending on your individual needs. \nSo book your free space today to start your digital journey with us. \n  \nWorkshop details: \nThis is an online session\, delivered via Zoom. Joining details will be sent to you 48 hours before the workshop. We review how new and existing funding schemes\, such as the Sustainable Farming Incentive and Countryside Stewardship\, have changed\, and how those schemes could apply to your farm and build your business. We also outline other schemes and grants that may apply to your farm. \nJoin us to discuss: \n\nHow funding is changing and what farmers can do to mitigate these changes​\nWhat DEFRA’s Environmental Land Management Schemes\, including SFI\, offer\nWhat other grant schemes are available\nSuccession: how to start planning for the next generation\nWhere to go next: getting ongoing support and information ​\n\n  \nThe Future Farming Resilience Fund is funded by Defra to support farmers and land managers through the biggest changes in farm support for generations\, as BPS ends and new environmental schemes are launched. The support is free and available until December 2024 to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Dorset\, Somerset or Cornwall with more than 5ha of land and an SBI. \n  \nTimings & Refreshments: \nWe will be serving a free supper and refreshments prior to the start of the workshop with timings as follows: \n\n6:30 pm – Arrival\, supper and refreshments\n7:00 pm – Presentation starts\n9:00 pm – Presentation ends\n9:30 pm – Workshop ends\n\n  \nEligibility: \nThis workshop is part of the Future Farming Resilience programme & is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon\, Somerset\, Dorset\, or Cornwall currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nTo be eligible to participate in the Future Farming Resilience project and receive subsequent 1:1 support or attend further workshops\, you will be required to complete a Monitoring Information form.
