Farm Grants Update & Navigating the Agricultural Transition

20 February - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Update on grants available to farming businesses, including the Sustainable Farming Incentive.

With the change in farming support moving away from the Basic Payment Scheme there will be grants available towards environmental improvement, animal health and welfare, and reducing carbon emissions.

The Future Farming Resilience Fund has been funded by Defra to allow us to support farmers and land managers with this transition. The support is free for any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments.

This FREE workshop is being jointly hosted with Trowers and Hamlins, local law experts, and will cover:

  • Explaining Agricultural Transition and the support available to replace BPS.
  • A description of the Sustainable Farming Incentive Scheme (SFI) and other income streams relating to Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMs)
  • Information on other farming funds, including Farming In Protected Landscapes (AONB), Farming Investment Fund, Farming Equipment and Technology Grant, Woodland Grant Support and Rural Prosperity Fund
  • Legal updates on Permitted Development Rights and Inheritance Tax planning, specific to the agricultural community in the SW

Presentations will start from 7pm, with a light buffet available from 6.30pm.

You will also get the opportunity to sign up to get additional support through the Future Farm Resilience program including one-to-one on farm visits and advice.

This workshop is part of the Future Farming Resilience programme & is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, or Cornwall currently in receipt of BPS payments.
