DESCRIPTION:During this workshop you will learn how to build a brand for your business creating visual content build your online presence.\n\n\nThis workshop will provide practical demonstrations of how to use Canva Pro – a graphic design platform\, used to create social media graphics\, presentations\, videos\, documents and other visual content. \nWe will be demonstrating with a Canva Pro account so please make sure you have created your free account with Canva before the workshop and know that you can upgrade to a free trial of Canva Pro. \nIn the first workshop we will look at how to build a visual identity in Canva Pro for your business including: \n\nchoosing a business name\nwriting a tagline or slogan for your business\ncreating a logo\, favicon and image for social media profiles\nchoosing colours and a brand colour palette\nchoosing fonts/typography to use in your visual identity\nchoosing images and learning about stock photography\n\nWe will discuss branding in general\, and there will be plenty of time for questions. By the end of the first workshop you will have a good understanding of how to create a brand for your business. \nPlease bring your ideas and questions to the workshop. \nThis workshop is part three of our three-part Canva series. Instead\, farmers will be supported to improve the environment\, improve animal health and welfare\, and reduce carbon emissions. This is the biggest change in farm support for generations and all farmers need to think how they will adapt. \nThe Future Farming Resilience Fund has been funded by Defra to allow us to support farmers and land managers with this transition. SUMMARY:Exploring SFI Options for Your Farm in 2023
DESCRIPTION:With the reduction of income from the Basic Payment Scheme over the next few years\, all farmers are considering how to develop their businesses.\n\n\nWith the reduction of income from the Basic Payment Scheme over the next few years\, all farmers are considering how to continue to develop their profitable farm businesses. As part of the Agricultural Transition\, Defra introduced the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) in 2022 with the aim to support farmers looking after the natural environment in the course of their farming. \nIn this free workshop\, we will look at the options available under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI)\, including a deep-dive into the six new standards being introduced in 2023\, and how these can be applied on your farm. \nThe six additional standards to be introduced in 2023 include: \n\nhedgerows standard\nintegrated pest management standard\nnutrient management standard\narable and horticultural land standard\nimproved grassland standard\nlow input grassland standard\n\nUnder the new schemes\, on-farm payments can reach an average of £200/ha depending on the options chosen. During the session\, we will explore the payments offered\, go through the application process\, and what is required to comply. These grants\, which are between £1\,000 and £25\,000\, go towards the cost of items designed to improve the health and welfare of your livestock. The grant is part of the Farming Equipment Technology Fund\, and the application window is open for 12 weeks: it closes on 15 June at midday. \nThe grant is open to all livestock farmers with cattle\, pigs\, sheep\, broiler chickens or laying hens. It is a great opportunity to get some funding towards the cost of items that will help improve both the health and welfare of your livestock\, but also farm productivity and profitability. \nIn this workshop\, we take you through the application process step-by-step\, with guidance on how to maximise the chances of a successful outcome.
