These grants\, which are between £1\,000 and £25\,000\, go towards the cost of items designed to improve the health and welfare of your livestock. The grant is part of the Farming Equipment Technology Fund\, and the application window is open for 12 weeks: it closes on 15 June at midday. \nThe grant is open to all livestock farmers with cattle\, pigs\, sheep\, broiler chickens or laying hens. It is a great opportunity to get some funding towards the cost of items that will help improve both the health and welfare of your livestock\, but also farm productivity and profitability. \nIn this workshop\, we take you through the application process step-by-step\, with guidance on how to maximise the chances of a successful outcome. SUMMARY:Mental Health Awareness for Farming Communities
DESCRIPTION:Helping farmers\, their families and their businesses to navigate the Agricultural Transition.\n\n\nThe Rural Support and Wellbeing project aims to raise awareness of the rural support services available to the farming community\, through specialist workshops and representation at rural events\, such as livestock markets and agricultural shows. \nThis project is being delivered in Cornwall\, Devon\, Dorset\, and Somerset as part of the Future Farming Resilience programme\, which in turn has been funded by DEFRA to allow us to support farmers and land managers with this transition. The support is free and available from October 2022 to any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments. \nThis project is being delivered by the Heart of the South West Trading Standards team\, working closely with the Farming Community Network (FCN)\, Rural Crime Police\, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and other organisations. \nNew Leaf Life Design are running a Mental Health Awareness workshop\, which will provide an overview of mental health.
