Rural Support Webinar: Helping Farmers.

4 July - 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Free
RABI and Farmerardos will be sharing about the support they are able to offer to help farmers.

Overview

The Rural Support and Wellbeing project, run by the Heart of the South West Trading Standards service, aims to raise awareness of the rural support services available to the farming community, through specialist workshops and representation at rural events, such as livestock markets and agricultural shows.

This project is being delivered in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, and Somerset as part of the Future Farming Resilience programme, funded by DEFRA to support farmers and land managers. The support is free and available to any farmer or land manager currently in receipt of BPS payments.

The Wellbeing Webinar series is running on the first Thursday of every month until December 2024. July’s webinar features guest speakers from the following organisations:

RABI is the charity at the heart of farming, providing expert mental health and wellbeing support, as well as financial, emotional and practical help to farming people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Farmerados believe that problems can feel a little lighter when shared with others who understand farming life. Farmerados don’t fix or try to solve. Farmerardos just provide a friendly, supportive space to share and connect with others in the same boat. That’s not to say we don’t appreciate the severity of some situations, and we may be able to point you in the right direction for more specific help should you need it.
