Countryside Stewardship pays farmers for the environmental work they do alongside food production.
Please note the following deadlines that may impact your Countryside Stewardship Application:
- 2nd June – Last date to notify the RPA for inclusion of priority habitat management options. Including GS6, GS9, GS10.
- 9th June – Last date to request catchment-sensitive endorsement for certain options and capital grants. Including RP15, RP28, AQ1, SW7, SW8, SW14.
Countryside Stewardship pays farmers for the environmental work they do alongside food production, with options that include restoring wildlife habitats, creating or managing woodlands, and mitigating flood risks. With updated payments rates, an expanded offer of options, and a simplified annual declaration of compliance, CS should be considered by all farmers looking to build a profitable farm business.

- General Scheme requirements and key dates
- Management options available and how they can provide an annual revenue
- Capital grants available
- How to get Catchment Sensitive Farming approval for farmyard capital grants
- How Countryside Stewardship interacts with the Sustainable Farming Incentive

Eligibility:
This workshop is available to any farmer or land manager in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Cornwall, or the Isles of Scilly currently in receipt of BPS payments.
