Slurry Infrastructure Grant: Info & Advice

12 January, 2023 - 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Free
This workshop will provide more information about the grant and talk through the application process.

The Slurry Infrastructure Grant from DEFRA is available to help replace, build or expand existing slurry stores to provide 6 months’ storage.

You can use this grant for slurry stores including tanks, lagoons and concrete stores fitted with impermeable covers and large permanent bags. The grant will also fund items necessary for the basic functioning of new or expanded slurry stores, such as reception pits, slurry pumps and agitators.

The grant helps farmers invest in future-proofed slurry infrastructure. This will help to:

  • make better use of organic nutrients
  • improve water quality
  • improve air quality
  • reduce greenhouse gases

We will provide more information about the grant, talk through the application process, and explain why you should apply even if your farm is not in a priority area. Grant applications are welcome only until 31st Jan 2023, so take advantage of this opportunity now.
