Adopting new technologies is essential for farmers striving to overcome future challenges and strengthen their business resilience. The new ADOPT Fund will invest £20.6 million in 2025/26 to support farmer-led trials and experiments aimed at boosting productivity, resilience, and sustainability on their farms.

Applications are now open for:

  • The full ADOPT grant – Designed to support on-farm trials and demonstration projects that encourage the adoption of innovative ideas or solutions within the agricultural sector. Eligible projects must have total costs ranging from £50,000 to £100,000.
  • The ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant – A £2,500 grant available to farmers, growers, or foresters based in England. This funding helps engage an external Project Facilitator to assist with submissions for the Full ADOPT Grant competitions.

You can find all the information on when the competition rounds open throughout the year here.

If you have an idea for a project on your farm, this is your opportunity to get the funding and support you need to test, refine and demonstrate innovative solutions to your farming challenges. Further information about the fund can be found on the UK Government website, and you can access full details on how to apply when the competition rounds open here.

Free support for your fund application

All ADOPT projects require a registered facilitator, which is where we come in. Our agricultural advisors can help you turn your idea into a potential funding opportunity that is ready for a full grant application. This support is funded by the UK Government, so there is no cost to you.
