Mid Devon District Council has launched a series of new grant schemes to support local businesses and organisations. Funding for the Mid Devon Prosperity Programme comes from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund, with the aim of boosting economic growth and supporting the community across the district.

Grants are available to organisations in the public, private, charity or social enterprise sectors. This could be a business, registered charity, town or parish council, Community Interest Company or other social enterprise.

The majority of grants available range from £1,000 to £20,000 but there is also scope to support one or two large projects of up to £50,000. Most of the funding will be in the form of capital grants. You can download the full programme details here.

There are five new grant schemes available

Field to Fork
Grants towards equipment needed to support businesses to develop, produce and market local food and drink products.

Business Growth and Innovation

The grant is intended to help buy new equipment, improve processes etc. This includes capital funding for net zero infrastructure for rural businesses and diversification of farm businesses.

Visitor Economy (Sustainable Tourism)
