Thrive Workshop Information

The good news is, our workshops are free! The only small catch is a little bit of form filling. We need to collect this information as a requirement of the Thrive service which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

No one likes filling in forms but don't worry, we've tried to make it as quick and painless as possible. You only need to complete this once to join the programme and not for every workshop you attend.

Once you've filled in the form we'll send you an email a day or two before the workshop with the Zoom joining instructions.

To be eligible to attend up to four of our free workshops under the Thrive service you need to meet the following criteria:

Location

You or your business must be based in Devon or Somerset, excluding:

North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset
Torridge and North Devon (you can access similar support through North Devon Plus.)

If you are unsure which area you fall into, you can check by entering your postcode into the Government Council Checker.

One of the forms will ask you to fill in your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) if applicable. This is the number that you will have received when you registered with HMRC.

This is a 10 digital number that can usually be found on any documents sent to you by HMRC. Below is a screenshot of a typical HMRC letter though the actual number has been obscured.

How to I qualify to attend one of your free workshops?

Do I need to bring a printed ticket to the workshop?

No you don't need to bring a printed ticket.

When and where does the workshop take place?

Most of our workshops are run online. You should have received a confirmation email with the details. If you can't find it then head to the Thrive page or call 01837 659 059.

Do you provide lunch and refreshments?

We try to provide complimentary tea, coffee and water at all of our workshops that are held in person. We do not provide lunch unless specifically stated.

Are there any transport or parking options at the venue?

We try to select venues that either have free parking on the premises or are near a pay-and-display car park. While we also try and choose locations that are easy for people to get to there may not always be a wide range of public transport available.

Unfortunately I can no longer attend. Do I need to let you know?

Yes, if for any reason you can't attend please try to give us as much notice as possible so that we can re-book your space.

How are your workshops funded?

These workshops are funded through the European Regional Development Fund.
