Canva Pro: How to Design Engaging Social Media Content

During this workshop you will learn how to build a brand for your business creating visual content build your online presence.
This workshop will provide practical demonstrations of how to use Canva Pro – a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, videos, documents and other visual content.
We will be demonstrating with a Canva Pro account so please make sure you have created your free account with Canva before the workshop and know that you can upgrade to a free trial of Canva Pro.
In this workshop we will look at how to create posts and designs in Canva Pro including:
- creating designs from scratch and getting used to all the tools in Canva
- using templates to form the basis of your brand designs
- how to change fonts/colours/elements and images
- how to work with overlays
- how to create designs for social media platforms including:
- Linkedin banner
- YouTube banner
- Facebook banner/post/Ad
- Instagram post/story/reel
- how to create a .pdf document for an eBook
- different file formats such as .png, .jpeg, .mp4
By the end of the workshop you will have a good understanding of how to create designs for different social media platforms, as well as other types of designs.
Please bring your ideas and questions to the workshop.
This workshop is part three of our three-part Canva series. All three workshops are standalone so you can come along to as many or as few as you like though we would recommend trying to attend all three. The other workshops in this series are:
