Farm funding, natural capital assets and BNG

Since leaving the EU and the loss of BPS, farmers have been living through a period of great change. The Future farming Resilience project is Defra-funded to help farmers understand the changes and their impact on farm economics.

In this free workshop, we examine some exciting new opportunities for farmers, including:

• What is meant by natural assets/ natural capital and the different forms it can take
• How natural capital could work on your farm: steps in the process of getting involved
• Real life examples how real farmers have approached different natural capital funding streams, including the pros and cons of each.

The session will involve a presentation plus the opportunity to ask questions and interact with others in the same position.

Eligibility
This workshop is provided under the Future Farming Resilience Fund, which was funded by Defra to allow us to support farmers and land managers with the Agricultural Transition. The support is free for any farmer or land manager in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, or Cornwall.

To be eligible to participate in the Future Farming Resilience project and receive subsequent 1:1 support or attend further workshops, you will be required to complete a Monitoring Information form. Forms will be provided by your advisor, at a workshop, or emailed to you after an online workshop. Please ensure forms are completed swiftly. Please be aware that BIP may limit further access to specialist workshops or 1:1 advice, if the form is not completed.
